At peace with your batteries with this batteries controller

Manager FAQ

Can this manager be used if we only have one battery (vehicule) ?

Yes. If there is no accessory batteries, the manager will notice it and behave accordingly.

What is the maximum amount of accessory batteries can we connect on this manager?

The manager was built to recharge a maximum bank of 200AHrs. But, it may work correctly with more capacity.

How can I use accessories that consume more power than the manager allows?

You can use a relay. This relay will be driven by the "ACC" connection of the manager while the power connections of the relay will be connected directly to the accessories battery.

When it starts recharging the accessory battery, the manager do some "clicks" for a while, is it normal?

Yes. If you discharge your batteries until the manager's limits, the manager will start recharging by doing pulse charging. Hearing clicks upon accessories battery recharge is a normal behaviour when battery has a very low charge left. This is a way to smoothly recharge an accessory battery and prevents overloading the alternator.

Are you sure the wire size is large enough to allow 40Amps (size: AWG#18 )?

Size of a cable for certain voltage and current is established according to the American Wire Gauge Association (AWG) standards. The cable size provided for the connections on the manager can tolerate 40 amps of energy as long as this cable is no more than 3 feet long. Cables on the manager are 1 foot long for easy wiring connections. You may cut the excess length when installing.
